Yardi Software Support
Everything Computes provides all levels of support services for Yardi Enterprise and Yardi Voyager software. We provide assistance with implementation, deployment and support. We perform an analysis of your current environment to ensure that security levels are set properly and to ensure your Corporate needs are met. We review your work flow and modify the Yardi user interface and procedures to increase staff efficiencies, reduce errors and keep compliance percentages high. We share with our clients not just our "technical know how" but rather real-world experience. Why are we different than other "Yardi Consultants" ? "Efficiency Through Simplicity" This concept, learned through trial and tribulation says it all. Yardi, a wonderfully powerful and capable application, has the ability to provide more statistical analysis, reporting capability, and overall functionality then any Management Company has ever considered possible previously. With these benefits also provides the opportunity of an overwhelming selection of options for your organization and its staff. Rick Friedman, President of Everything Computes, spent several years as the Director of Communications, Technology and Compliance for a not-for-profit Affordable Housing Company. One of his responsibilities was to convert the Corporate Headquarters and its 40+ properties, (covering 14+ states coast to coast) from a DOS-based, distributed Affordable / Property Management Application to a self-hosted version of Yardi Enterprise / Voyager software. This task comprised developing a project plan including:
Like many not-for-profits with limited resources, the personnel budget could only support a technical staff of one person. This afforded Rick a tremendous opportunity to learn every aspect of the software from installation and configuration to support and actual use as an end-user. The True Challenge: This is much more than a "change of software" As a national provider of Affordable Senior Housing, the average age of their Community Manager were 56 - 63 years old with 20 plus years on the job and limited computer skills. The change from a DOS-based step-by-step program to a web-based program with many options is just not a "Change in Software" but a " Complete Cultural Change"! Rather than get into details, after several months He realized that the way to retain staff and provide an opportunity for new staff to suceed without intensive software training was to do two things: 1) Reconfigure the application interface to meet our workflow. It needs to be intuitive for our people...know how they work (task based). 2) Develop a manual that is simple to use. One we could hand to a new-hire that would enable them to immediately perform the duties of their job. It worked! "Efficiency Through Simplicity" Rick, a Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS) and Fair Housing Coordinator (FHC), has served as a *NYAUG Board Member, active on the top 10 and the GPR Committees.
